Worcester 07/06/2000

In the summer of 2000, we embarked on a tour of New England armed with our new Spacefolds 6 release. We played a music fest in Hartford; a bar show in Burlington; a strip mall on Long Island; the GAGLIARCHIVES! - big times for the Q! Documented here is a show at Tammany Hall in Worcester, MA. We played with our friends in Architectural Metaphor and a local band called Juggernaut.

I vaguely remember someone asking to record the show, who we happily obliged - so biggest thanks for this recording go to him. I had forgotten about that fact until Jay's cousin Ray emailed me about finding a torrent for the show on DIME. (I also think I remember seeing this show listed on a list of live bootlegs.) Chet and Jay happened to be up when Ray emailed me so we were able to listen to the show and promptly decided to host it here on Quarkspace.com

This was a good night for us. Our original bass player, Kevin, lives in the area, so he and his wife, Sandy, hosted us for the show. The playing is pretty hot and confident. The fact that we played out Blanket Hill live a year before Drop came out surprised us. We especially love the heckler who bitches at us every time we get too spacey and praises us every time we "rock out". There's a Jim Lascko in every town! Ha! Enjoy the show!

Please help us continue to release quality music by considering donating to Quarkspace and Eternity's Jest. All donations $5 and over will receive their choice of Drop or Spacefolds 8 as a gift (Don't forget to let us know which one!).
